Fathom is excited to announce the addition of John Morales-Marquez to the team as co-founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO). This strategic hire follows Fathom's realization of the potential of distributed ledger technologies to tackle data bottlenecks in the public workforce system, uncovered during their NSF I-Corps customer discovery phase.

John Morales-Marquez, a Puerto Rican-born Huntsville, AL native and seasoned technologist, brings a rich tapestry of experience spanning over a decade to Fathom. His expertise cuts across industries like Banking, Entertainment, Healthcare, Retail, Logistics, and Supply Chain, specializing in Cloud Computing and Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT). As a Certified Hyperledger Developer, John is passionate about crafting cutting-edge self-sovereign identity solutions to revolutionize legacy data systems.

Reflecting on his new role at Fathom, John shared, "The primary reason I decided to join the Fathom team is that I saw a tremendous opportunity to democratize data through decentralization. It's a vision that aligns deeply with my professional journey and personal beliefs."

Prior to joining Fathom, John held prominent roles across several companies, including Solutions Architect positions at You42, Inc. and Blocnets, Inc. Among his numerous achievements is the noteworthy development of an innovative "advertising credentials" layer-2 solution post a $22M Initial Coin Offering for You42. He also led high-stakes meetings that culminated in securing seed funding of $1.5M for Blocnets, Inc., paving the way for innovations using the Hyperledger Fabric blockchain.

Beyond his professional experiences, John's dedication to continuous learning and the broader tech community is evident. He has contributed to the Ethereum Project, hosted workshops on Ethereum, and even embarked on entrepreneurial pursuits, demonstrating his commitment to pushing the boundaries of technology.

JoAdel Adeola, CEO at Fathom, commented on the new addition, "John is a godsend for Fathom. We wouldn't be able to move forward without his expertise. His depth of knowledge and vision for the future of technology aligns perfectly with our mission. We are thrilled to embark on this next phase of growth with him leading our tech initiatives."
