Busy as a Bee, & There's Still More to See
Already off to a blistering pace, 2019 has definitely been a fast and fulfilling year. As a startup in the gig economy, it is our challenge to always be lean, remain relevant on the scene, and most importantly, ensure that Fathom remains connected to its mission and dream . It is definitely a lot of work, but it’s exactly what needs to be done to ensure we become the purpose-driven company our generation needs.
Students Making the Transition
Having our table in the inspiration-packed internship fair was very exciting knowing that we were just on the other side of the table not too long ago. Listen to Cynthia as she explains how Vanderbilt’s Human & Organizational Development Program hosts an internship fair every year, to help get its students matched up with the right capstone internship they need to graduate. In the spirit of the season we, as companies, are the flowers that these young bee’s land on; hopefully gathering enough nectar & pollen to sustain themselves and the “hive”.
Animating Artificial Intelligence
We love having conversations with Gayathri, our I-Corps PI. Not only does she help us navigate opportunities in that space, but she helps us build what isn’t there! As the Associate Director at Vanderbilt’s Institute for Digital Learning, we explore the realms of how neuroscience, artificial intelligence, and data analysis can come together to take the learning experience to the next level.
How does one quantify creativity? Which scales does one use to measure that? Will these scales be validated? Can this validation become the foundation for automation? These questions and more are swirling in the wind , but Fathom is and will always be the tree – planted with the Seed of Life (our logo), unwavering and unfurling on its path of creation.
