Meetings with Investors, Industry Experts, and Our City Takes Notice
If January was any indication of what is to materialize in 2019, we are in for a very productive year. From picking the brain of seasoned investors to finding new pathways with industry experts, Fathom is gaining the connections it takes to foster the level of change we set out to make. Morale is high, the dawn of Fathom Your Campus is nigh, and what was once just hometown buzz is starting to develop into quite the tune 🎶.
Greeting the Don’s
We didn’t have to kiss any rings or anything, but it sure has been powerful conversing with our respected friend Don Leyrer. As a business founder, retired investor and Chairman of the Social Enterprise Alliance, Don Leyrer has been paramount in helping Fathom with the company defining decision of investment. Not only did we measure the pros and cons of going through our sales cycle vs taking the investment route, but in speaking with Don we have also received valuable insight into an investors perspective, opportunity zones, and most importantly how to scope our shared vision for the youth. Read the challenge he’s issued to all the governors and states below, and watch footage from our meeting here:
“The biggest challenge we have is if we continue to bring all these industries in [our community], we have to show that we have a workforce to support these industries” – Don Leyrer
To Campus… and Beyond!
It should come as no surprise that we are very much looking forward to bringing Fathom and Change Agents to a campus near you. We have already aligned with many key organizations in Tennessee (we’ll be announcing them soon), but to ensure the efficacy of our connections we are in contact with some of the industry’s best like our friend Jacky Gomez.
Acting as a pillar of the Nashville community, Jacky continually has her hands in numerous philanthropic and technological efforts. Only a recent college graduate, she is very knowledgable of campus processes and because of her impact, still maintains relationships with various decision-makers. Although that was just our first official meeting, it’s safe to say with Change Agents like Jacky in our corner, Fathom is destined to accomplish our goal of bringing youth-led innovation to the community. Listen to these kind words from Jacky!
Thank You Baker Donelson
During last year’s 36|86 festival, law firm Baker Donelson sought to capture what was on the minds of some of the festivals entrepreneurs, JoAdel being one of them. Do you think our CEO has what it takes to be a professional speaker? The possibilities are limitless when you Fathom your reality!
